Ética e violência no desporto em Portugal: um estudo exploratório

O desporto tem assumido um papel importante no quotidiano das pessoas proporcionando o seu bem-estar (Eigenschenk et al., 2019; WHO, 2018), pelo que se torna importante compreender as suas dinâmicas. Com o objetivo de identificar os valores que orientam o comportamento e atitudes dos atletas através do seu grau de importância, bem como as orientações motivacionais no que diz respeito à tarefa e ao ego através de situações presentes no desporto e como se sentem mais bem-sucedidos em relação às mesmas; e identificar a existência de violência em contexto desportivo, concretizou-se este estudo exploratório. A amostra é constituída por 247 participantes, com idade M = 32,34 (DP = 13,821). Utilizaram-se o questionário Youth Sport Values Questionnaire (YSVQ), de Lee, Whitehead e Balchin (2000), o questionário de Perception of Sucess Questionnaire (POSQ), de Roberts, Treasure e Balagué (1998), e um questionário próprio sobre violência em contexto desportivo. Os resultados referem que os participantes têm em consideração valores como ser justo e jogar de forma justa; valorizam o bem-estar e divertimento bem como a camaradagem e trabalho em equipa. No que se refere à violência em contexto desportivo, cerca de 1/3 dos participantes já temeu pela sua segurança aquando da prática desportiva. Neste sentido, torna-se fundamental apostar em ações de cariz preventivo e numa capacitação junto de todos os intervenientes desportivos.
